Not trying to justify anything. Clearly there's no justification for something like this. Only wondering why he would have wanted to do it.

Oh yes, I'm sure a shootout in a crowd would have caused much less death.

--- Quote from: DYNAGOD on December 09, 2004, 01:44:26 pm ---a guy jumped up on stage yelling directly at dimebag that he was responsible for breaking up pantera, and now how was "someone whos name i cant remeber" supposed to have money for heroin..
--- End quote ---
If he's talking about someone's heroin addiction, it was probably Philip Anselmo (lead singer for Pantera). If that's the case then this guy sounds like a total f'n loser with no life (no pun intended).
--- End quote ---
i ebelive that was it..
i dont know if he was a friend of anselmo or just a psychotic fan who had projected himself into their lives..

They did have a shootout - and quickly. There were armed folks in the crowd
The police shot and killed the guy.
As you say - think of how many more could have been shot and killed if they hadn't been there.
Actually, think of how many could have been saved if they had been closer and more aware of what was going on - I'm betting they thought it might have had something to do with the show - hence the delay and resulting deaths.

Well....we know it wasn't the gun, as only people kill people.
Although this story is tragic, I have to say that with a name like Dimebag, my guess is that drugs are somehow involved.

Well, THAT'S the first logical thing I've ever seen you say, even though you mean it sarcastically.
I've YET to see in the story where the guy threw his gun on stage and it went off, killing several people. Again, what you seem to miss, is the large 150+ lb wart of a human being who was hell-bent on extracting some sort of "justice".
From all reports thus far, the guy felt he needed to make someone pay - specifically that dimebag dude - and WAS able to get close enough where even without a gun, he'd have been able to kill at least ONE person - for some reason you can't seem to get it into your head that the gun was just what he chose to use - and the PERSON killed PEOPLE.
Hey, one thing I DON'T find your loony point addressing is how he would have been subdued - after all, he was subdued with - A GUN! What should the cops have done? Adopted a resolution that he drop the gun? ::)
Drugs were involved :o Do ya THINK? So I guess, like as in your silly jab at guns - we should now work to legalize more of them
::)
Hey, how's it going with your "get out the Kerry vote" campaign?

Have you ever noticed that it seems like only real musicians get killed?
