A 19" computer monitor is often only 17" viewable, I personally would get a "scan converter" off Ebay (VGA to TV) or a GeForce card with TV out and a large television. I get all dissapointed when I see arcade cabinets with a huge control panel or a tiny little computer monitor (or both). I think this is a result of the high price of large computer monitors and the high price and complexity of arcade monitors. I personally feel a large TV is the ticket, inexpensive, simple, and in keeping with the resolutions of the original arcade monitors. (ready to be flamed) Craig p.s. although a mini 4' tall cabinet would work well with a 17" viewable monitor, see www.minimame.com. On the topic of saving space, money and time : those mini cabs only require a single 4'X8' sheet of material and go up in one evening. |

I've just bought a 19 inch monitor for my dynamo cab, I just got it from an offer at good price. but what the heck. When I get some more cash permission from my wife i'll buy a 25" TV... meanwhile It'll look kinda ugly :( |
