Hot Razr Help?
gamergirlfolife:
hey guys- I know its off topic but I need help. What do you think of the Motorola Razr V3 cell phone? I'm thinking of getting it for my bf. I saw the commercial and it looks futuristic and super thin. It's also got bluetooth capabilities and there is a sweet car kit available for it. So do you guys think that'd be a good christmas gift? It's here www.hellomoto.com/us/v3 but there's no price. Any idea on the price and if anyone owns it, how is the MP3 ringtone feature? Ty in advance :D

I was looking at getting the Razr until Cingular ended up being the only carrier (can't get Cingular in my part of Utah). I believe the phone is $499 w/activation.
As for the MP3 ringtone feature. I have that on my V600 and it's awesome. Everytime my wife calls it plays "Cherry Pie" by Warrant. When my buddies call I have Adam Sandler saying "No i will not make out with you!".
If your boyfriend is not retarded then he'll love the Razr.

I actually just went to look at them this weekend at my Cingular store.
I looked at the Razr and talked to my buddy at the store, and it's a really sharp looking phone. My friend actually said that the MPx220 is a better phone however. He didn't go into specific details but said its an all around better phone, and its also $300 compared to $500.
The Razr's major draw is its tiny... that's pretty much it. It's VERY tiny, and if you want the hippest thing around, I guess that might be it. For me though, it was actually a bit TOO small for my liking, and I prefered the MPx220 by a longshot.
If it were me, I'd get the MPx220... its got everything the Razr has, and beats it in a lot of places. Higher quality camera, does video recording I believe, etc etc.

Yeah...that's a damn cool phone, and the size is a MAJOR draw. It lacks many features that other much lower priced phones cost, but it's tiny and has a magnesium case, I believe. It's in a class of it's own on cool factor, though. If your boyfriend wouldn't use a bunch of fancy features anyway, and you've got mad amounts of money to throw around I'd say get it.
