--- Quote ---Oh, and a tip for people playing through, every time you see the original half-life symbol there's some sort of "easter egg" there with information about what is going on, or a Gman sighting (Or so I am told).

I just get ammo packs, health and batteries in the lambda-marked areas, but I'm playing it on easy. I still am finding it pretty hard at times.

I have been struggling with the game's "stuttering" issues. It's distracting.

To each his own.  I understand that technically the longer the game, the better the value and so on.  But I don't want my games to last 40 hours.  I have a very limited amount of time to spend playing video games and as it is there are too many great games that I desperately want to play but can't.  I'm still playing through the first Splinter Cell and #3 is just around the corner.  I've never even seen Viewtiful Joe in action.  I haven't played a RTS on the PC in years in spite of some apparent masterpieces like Rome: Total War.

Anyway, when I start a game I like to finish it.  I feel ripped off if I only get 8 or 10 hours out of a game (if I payed $50 for it), but anything over than that is perfectly fine with me if the quality is there.

I mean, imagine if all movies were 10 or 12 hours long.  Even if they were great from beginning to end, there is a downside to it.
