Ah.. ok, i am a bit drunk now but i do have an animaion of a walking man using blt'ing in a picture control and it's well smooth i am looking at using that. The secret is to encapsule stuff in a picture control. This is probably making no sense but what i mean is have other stuff within a picture control using it like you would a frame. Errrrm i will pm you over the weekend with what i mean, it may help you out on something.
Thanks for the reply

OK, load a 500*500 jpg in the picture control then start moving the picture control around the screen ;)
Basically what I have is a couple of picture boxes side by side, with lines, labels, lists & image controls inside. Then when animating, I just move the container by a constant interval across the screen (waiting a user controlled time between each step). It's the redrawing of the image INSIDE the container as it's being moved that's the killer, and that's why I am using the image control I'm using. The redraw speeds leave the basic versions in the dust.
The 'secret' for my point of view is that there are 4 of these on the screen, but only 2 visible at any one time. Setting the Zorder so they appear in their correct positions is important, then load the correct albums into the containers, then make them appear, then do the animation. It's all pretty complicated, but it was the best way I could find to do it, and took a long time to get it right.

You little beauty...
Since you are doing updates.... is there anyway of having an option to lose the numbers ( before each track)
without the need for a keyboard, they are redundant.

Sorry, not sure what you mean by this.... ???

ok... well what I mean is in each cd you have the tracks with trck numbers:
00 All Tracks
01 Song 1 Name
02 Song 2 Name
I would like the option of:
All Tracks
Song 1 Name
Song 2 Name
The numbers are of no use if you are using touch screen or mouse support.
And I don't care if the songs rearrange themselves because numbers are missing.
Just a thought
