I will say though if your going to have a mame cabinet for games then build a jukebox for music and ---Cleavland steamer--- can the mame jukebox crap.
Saloman, i like what you have going with your software, but if you and VMJ would get together since you have dependabilty and VMJ has looks and professional layout you guys would have a great program. You guys need to put your pride aside and develope some great software for us users and maybe you guys could make some real profit from it.
Everybody is heading toward touch screen setups but that's not old true jukebox flare.
My two cents worth!

Well, I hate replies like this, but here goes.
Excuse me? Not wanting to make improvements? How about reading the readme.txt then see if what you say holds water. Even though SKJB does everything I want it to, I *even still* am adding requested features to the program. Sure, development may have slowed down in recent months, but that's because the program is at a point where it's hardly unusable, and what's been requested is largely 'bells & whistles'. Just because out of the 3 things you asked me to do (in my own time with no cost to you), 1 is already in place, 1 I can't do and the other I have no desire at all for doing it, I get THIS sort of reply? Why don't you come around to my house & break all my windows just for the hell of it too?
And get together with VMJ? Not a chance. They are 2 totally seperate programs. What's this 'dependabilty' you are talking about? And, I have no desire to make money off of the program. I do this as a personal project that I feel like giving away.
Of course, there's the old addage : 'if you don't like it, don't use it'. Simple as that. Do NOT ---smurf--- about something you didn't pay for, nor put any work into yourself.
Oh, and the last part of your first line? Yeah, let's give that a try.
That is all, now let's move on with constructive things. I hate wasting my energy on crap like this, cause it's energy better spent elsewhere.

I just didn't like your attitude in returning the message reply, you may want to work on that.
Read the the message about where i mention dependablility. It was a complement! I was just hoping you had those items on the list for improvement!
Geeesh Sorry!
You are right though shouldn't have wasted my time or yours you could have been programming!

Well, was it hard for me to take something you said NOT as a compliment? lol.....
From my point of view, I read it as 'you depend on another program/etc for yours to run'. ;D
However, for the 'waste of time', I hope you are not being nasty! You've had your say, I've had mine, let's move on. If there's something constructive you want to suggest, I'm all ears. 8)

If i had a spare $100 i think i would use it to pay some of my bills so i guess you are stuck with lite. However you should have used that response in reply to the original question rather than saying you woul not include an EQ full stop
Enjoy

I don't mean to be bitchy about it, but it IS my program, and I have put alot of work into it.

Did you see where i mentioned your ID3 tag reading issue? It wouldn't read some of the tags that i know are correct as i can read them in my program and also ThePCJukebox and Tag & Rename. I can send you one of the files if it helps you bug fix this.
Also on a related note, did you blt the screen to get the covers moving like they do. I really like the smooth action they have and was looking at adding something simular to my software.
Anyway, take it easy buddy and good look with your app.

Nope, not your fault at all! I don't really understand why it's gone the way it has either.....who knew giving software away for free would bring such bad attitudes from some people.... *tsk* I dunno.... ;D
As for the tagging, I'm not really sure why it would be going wrong, so perhaps sending one would be a good idea. The ID3 support I put in was really a 'proof of concept', so I wasn't expecting it to be perfect. You should be able to e-mail one to me...check the readme.txt for the addy.
As for the album art, it really is very simple. I used a component I bought to display jpg's (which I use in a commercial application! ;) ), and just move them across the screen. That's all there is to it! It took alot of playing, but the standard picture/image controls available are really not good at that sort of thing, so an optimized control was just the ticket.
Ahhhh....constructive conversation....there's nothing like it! ;D
