others in there chose to use specific numbers, and others there (IIRC) used the specific %. What Dartful is pointing out, and that you, for some illogical reason can't seem to get, is that the pic he linked to is showing a dolt who doesn't understand that 48% is not 50%.

in actuality we give independent votes to independent candidates, like your Mr Badnarik. If you want to use that flawed logic, then I am well within my flawed logic rights to assume that all independent votes would have gone to Bush and that Bush actually had 52%.
Again, I'll have to insist that you stick to the "simple math" that you can't seem to grasp

now really, is cussing necessary? Is it the oregano in your system?
Oh, and again, you simply MUST realize that while in your mind it may be "---Bad words, bad words, whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do when saint censors you?--- close", you still can't state accurately that it's half. Speaking of close, I believe you're "close" to the truth. Take the next step and admit that 51% is 3% more than 48%.
Or, if it will make you feel better to count the independent votes in with the major party, take the next step and admit that 52% is 4% more than 48%.
Barring all that, give this a whirl Repeat as necessary until simple math no longer eludes you.

somehow, somewhere you have bestowed upon yourself the ability to read minds. I myself have taken to using your illogic in refuting your claim, and will do so yet again.
You state 48% democrat, yet your final number comes up 49%. You assume every idependent voter was a vote against Bush. I'll use your illogic to clearly state that every independent voter was voting against Kerry, and therefore, Bush then recieves 52% of the vote.
All those silly numbers aside, you have come to grasp that the percentages still favor Bush, AND you are even starting to get the ACTUAL percentages correct! Good for you!

This part is opinion, as he doesn't truly know this. He is assuming it's fake because (and here's MY assumption of Dartful) he can't believe that guy's that big of a dolt that he can't understand simple math, as the dolt's picture is wrong, according to said simple math.

Dartful points out the inaccuracy of the guy's statement in reference to the voting public..

Since the numbers, the percentages, whatever fact you choose to use to point out how Bush won will agree with Dartful's position that indeed, half of America is mathematically incorrect, the only thing left to conclude is that you must be one of those Dartful is lamenting about.

Someone go tell Mr Clinton he wasn't president. In our system, the MAJORITY (please please please please for the love of Rudy understand what "majority" means) is the winner. In this case, not only was it a majority, it was more than 50%
