Should I expand my cabinet to accomadate a 27" TV?
subzero23:
yeah i know
my dad just wanted to update to the 2000's I guess and I'm thinking there is no such thing as a 2000's arcade machine....they're all still the traditional ones...

I actually HAVE spied a few flat tube standard res monitors lately. But they are uncommon, and I have only seen the 19" size. The industry might eventually switch to them fully, but that will be fine, because at least then you will be able to find the bezels.
subzero23:
Lol I'm not the one who wants the flatscreen....way too much $$ anyway.
I donno if the "industry" will switch because it seems like there isn't much of an industry to be had :(
I saw a Madden 4 player game the other day and that was like the newest traditional arcade game I've seen in like a couple years

Maybe it's just me but I see new arcade machines all the time(Granted they are probably conversions). I saw tekken 4 and soul caliber 2 they same week they came out and they are always making new versions of dance dance revolution(rolls eyes). The bowling alley and the mall always seem to have em. There isn't much to do in the desert where I live, so maybe that's why we still have arcades(at least two places are dedicated video arcades that I know of) in an area about 300 thousand strong. I am in a backwards hick town in the mojave desert though.
EDIT: doesn't happs sell a flatscreen bezel though?

I'm getting a free 27" tv this week from someone because the sound is no good on it.. they don't want to screw with it so they're giving it to me.. should fit perfect in my DL II cabinet.
can someone point me to threads / info on hooking up the computer to the TV.
you're mentioning s-video.. i'm assuming i need a video card with an s-video tv out?
is there any cable hacks like the VGA to arcade monitor hack i've seen?
any links for research are appreciated.
