Twist and turn joystick?

I thought I read that they also return to the center (the twisting I mean) using a spring. Is that correct or does it just use the leafs on the switches to ping it back?

Correct. A single spring, located on the back side of the left/right turn switch plate returns the handle to center.

Thanks for the pic - that explains it well...might have to have a think about trying to make one of these...
