How do I build my own ps to pc adapter?

i love a good project as much as anyone, but 12 bucks is justy too good of a deal..plug and play..

The radio shack dongle doesn't support simultaneous left/right or up/down, so no dance pad support...

You'll find that the majority, if not all commerical converters probably don't as the real controller itself does not support it, and most convertors treat that it as the X/Y Axis as they logically should.
For dance games, you are better configuring the four shoulder buttons as U/D/L/R.
