Which Streetfighter?

There are loads of different versions of Streetfighter in mame. If you only wanted one on your cab, which one would it be?

I'd probably go for Street Fighter 2: Champion Edition. It was the last 2D fighter that I really enjoyed to play (in arcades and on the SNES).
The Alpha series look pretty, but I've never really tried them out. I've been wondering about all these new 2D fighters lately, so I played Guilty Gear Isuka last night to see what the hype was about and it sucked --I'm attempting to get by the auto-censor and should be beaten after I re-read the rules--.

Edit:Wow! There are 114  Street Fighter games and clones in Mame, and only 17 of these are parent sets.

Yep, champion edition is about the best all-rounder for a cab. Turbo has its moments as well.

Although not strictly a street fighter, Marvel vs Capcom is fantastic. Pocket fighter can be good too when you're pissed!

Without question it would be Street Fighter Alpha 3.  I think this is still my favortite fighter to date.

Alpha 2..my all time favorite ! 8)

- the balance is just great,no one is overpowered
- you can make a come back with even Dan(lol)
- great music
- have normal supers and CC all together(unlike alpha 3 with overpowered v-ism
- Hawt graphic+animation
- Connecting combos arent all that complex YET not too easy..perfect balance !

X-Men vs. Street Fighter for sure...  the first of the Capcom "vs." series, and IMO, the best...  you got love pulling off Akuma's raging demon with only one bar of super power, and being able to combo after it...   ;D

I would have to pick the plain old SF2. That is what I got hooked on in high school and I still love to play it today.

I like Super Street Fighter 2 X:  Grand Master Challenge.  It's a japanese clone but it's pretty cool.  It has the japanese names intact, akuma is a secret character and it gets tough as nails after about 4-5 matches.  Fastest Zangief I've ever fought against.  Very cool version.

My most favorite is Street Fighter Alpha 3.  And outside of MAME I have really started liking Street Fighter 3.
