Fixed Galaga - New high score!

RayB:

Joy yesterday... My original Galaga board was reporting a RAM error, to my dismay (had discovered this last year). I finally figured out that the voltage needed to be a bit higher than 5.0 volts, so I increased it a bit and now the board works! YEAH.

So finally, I got to play my Galaga with the original joystick, newly installed Leaf-switch buttons (replacing microswitch buttons that were on there) and the original game (before that I had Galaga 88 in there, which would still work with the slightly lower voltage).

Usually I make it to wave 6 or 7... Last night I made it to wave 17! Woooo. heh. Broke my personal record from years ago when I first got the board (see it has this non volatile RAM hack to save high scores).

While, "IN THE ZONE" once, i got to Rank 27.  I have never once come close to that ever again

Did you do the "wait 20 minutes until they stop shooting" trick? If not, that's impressive! I own an original Galaga and I hardly ever get to level 20!

I had an "IN THE ZONE" game once.  I was always pretty good, but that night I was on fire (for me). I rolled the score twice and had to abandon the game because my ride was leaving.
