Oh well.

Thanks for the replies guys!

The reason it's high is it's still making money on location so operators will snap them up.  They're still available new from namco so a used one holds it value.

WANNA PLAY PAC-MAN? At the select screen input up, up, up, down, down, down, left, right, left, right, left, start. (Please note, this code works ONLY on this arcade model of the game, and does not work on individual Ms. PacMan and Galaga machines.)

That's odd... the 'Real' version of this cabinet/tandem has a main welcome screen where you choose which game to play.

I'm not sure they actually used the Konami code for that game, but since the game is "only Ms. Pac-Man and Galaga" they threw pac man in as a kind of bonus.  That's why you have to enter something to get to it.

These machines have been out for years haven't they?  At least I've been seeing them for a long time.  There's a billiards place & a Mall around here that both want...are you ready for this?  $1 per game.

Needless to say, I didn't pay it.

That's just insane.

It's been out since '00 IIRC.

Pac-Man is a secret bonus.  It tells how to get to the game on the flyer.

These retail new for about $2600. They are 100% official, so for the price you get not only 100% brand new professional factory quality, but all the warranties that usually come with a new product.

Still sound pricey? Well they aren't meant for the home. That price is average for a coin-op meant to go on location somewhere to take in cash every day.

They've been around since 2000 / 2001.
