Directpad pro problems

A couple of months ago I built the Directpad pro Interface so I could Hook up my Playstation controllers to my P.C.  I am running XP and there wasn't any dpadpro xp drivers so I found some software that would work with XP I think it,s called NTpad or something similar. Well this works flawlessly absolutely
no troubles. The problem is now my cab is built it is running Win98se so I am forced to use dpadpro drivers . When I go in to the calibration screen  I can move all axis and buttons and they register but when I hit the calibrate button it kinda freezes and the only buttons that work are the select and start buttons.
and if I go into rocknes only the select and start can be mapped. I have tried the polling speed and other settings in dpad pro.
If anyone has any ideas Please let me know.
