| Nerd Of Nerds:
hello! i am wanting to build a mini music game arcade cab with rotating controls. i plan on having it in a triangleish shape and it will have controls for normal arcade games, pop n' music, and beatmania...this is the one i'm wondering about... since i don't want to screw around with playstation-pc adapters...altho i've used them before i don't think it will like the beatmania controller (its a music game with 7 buttons and a turntable that you scratch with) so here is the deal, i want to custom build the controller so it will use a real record...i want to map the one of the axis of the mouse to a button in stepmania, but i can't... are there any programs that will let me use the mouse axis as a button? from windows? i've suggested allowing mapping of the mouse axis to some of the stepmania developers...so far a bit of a no go... any programs? any? ;) you guys would be my heroes if you were to come through on this ;D thanks so much, this is a wonderful community! |

Not sure what you mean...Why are you attempting to do the analog to digital converstion in the first place? Does the program use a button press instead of mouse movement? I think we need more clarification before we can give an answer... |

I can't give you a for sure answer, but I would be looking around for some type of customizable Windows mouse gestures software. |

yeah, the program, stepmania, uses keystrokes...the mouse input isn't enabled...so i need it to act as a keystroke when i move an axis on the mouse... :-\ any ideas? someone said there was a proggie like this for OS X but... i hate macs with a firerey passion... :P |
