bump and also a cry for help!!!

First off- are we EVER going to all get together?  I think it's a great idea. I'll have to go back through the post, but I'm pretty sure we've had a few guys volunteer to host- and shoot, I'll pitch in for pizza or something as well!

ok- now here's where I beg...  I am soo lost on installing MAME Analog+ it's not even funny. I got the cab built, will be hooking up all my controls and drilling CP holes tomorrow- wiring, etc. For the most part, I'm about ready. Silly me, I had this idea in my head that I just download MAME Analog+, hit the install button, and it runs like an XP OS Install or something. LOL.  Apparently, it's not like that at all. I'm not completely computer illiterate, but, this stuff just isn't clicking. I also haven't found crap for documentation. I need like a MAME Analog+ Install for Dummies book or something. LOL.  Can any of you local guys help me out?  Even if it's a quick phone call to set me straight, or, I'll buy us lunch if someone has the guts to come help me out themselves.

If there's any kind souls out there who can help me, I'd certainly appreciate it!

ok- cry from help from fellow MAMER is over...
Thanks!
D

Any of you guys still around?? Just curious.

TOK:

In the spirit of the never-scheduled get together, all of their skeletons are propped up in front of MAME'd Time Killers machine.

I wasn't in AZ when this thread was first written, but I am now.  :)

Welcome back!

I am sure you guys at this point have worked on your projects, post some pics & specs!

At this point I need to mount up holsters for the light guns, and create a couple of more control panels. I am set up so that the panels are removable by just lifting them up. It was the only way to not have a Frankenstein control panel board. The next control panel will be one for a trackball, followed by another one for a spinner and flight yoke, and one more for a steering wheel and shifter. Seems I will need to order up some more key encoders to be able to get it done and I'll probably go with a couple GP-Wiz40-Eco USB Controls Interface boards to make it easy and cost effective. Also I want to upgrade the computer some, that AMD 2000 is running it fine, but not sure if it will hang with some of the higher end games. Some of them like Teken is running slow, maybe I just need a ram increase.
