| Where to get 1/16" slot cutter router bit???? |

I ordered mine through MLCS. Quality is pretty good, price is king with them. I can also say that the shipping time was excellent. Two days from order to door. I think they are in Ohio (I'm in CT). I also had a goof up on my order, they called me, and I asked a few questions - all answered promptly. Great company. I tried ordering the bit first from HP and Lowes, both failed horribly. Of course most of the tool folks seem to be a tad too busy to take orders for me (on tools) when I go there. - derek |

The link in the post before yours has them for $16 including for the whole thing and $12 for just the blade part. thanks! --- End quote --- As I remember I paid about $40 for a 1/2" shank arbor and both blades. MLCS would be $38 for the same deal, seems pretty comparable to me. I didn't have the ordering issues Derek had, but then I deal with them a lot and know who to talk to at my store. I ordered on monday and had it by the following friday. YMMV. ;) |

I went ahead and ordered the 1/16" set from MLCS. Seems like the best price and free shipping. Thanks to everyone for the info! |

I assume you ordered part #5341 for $16 with free shipping. From the knowledgable crowd, is this all that is needed to cut the T-molding slots or are there other pieces required as well. A couple posts back, the guy mentioned $36 was needed. |

Mine ended up needing a 5/32" slot, so ordering the other size cutter blade ended up saving me time and extra shipping charges. In a pinch you could offset a the cutter a little, make a pass, then offset it the other way to end up with a 5/32" slot if you needed it. I did screw up the math, MCLS sells the cutters for $16 with an arbor and $12 without. Buying both sizes through them would be $28, not $38. |
