This is a pretty dumb question, but does the cocktail version of Track and Field and Hypersports actually have 4 players playing at the same time for the running/swimming events?

Nope.

For example on a 4 player 100m race, the screen flips and players 3&4 race each other.

How wide and deep is the control panel on the Track & Field cabinet?

Wade - I WISH all I had to do was worry about school. Graduate school isn't quite like is was back in the undergraduate days.... :'(
