Any pushbutton like this?
« on: November 01, 2004, 08:11:43 pm »
Has anyone seen a pushbutton that has some sort of lock?

What I mean is this...

I need a button that when pressed will do it's normal opperation of connecting or disconnecting a circuit and doing the oposite when released, BUT...  It needs to have some sort of lock also.  :-\  Like maybe you press the button and twist it to lock it or something to that effect.

I need it for NC (normally closed) operation so that's a must.
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em

And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

Any old AT case power button should have what you want.  You want it to work like a ball point pen, click one and it stays on, click a second time to shut off, right?

Nope, not what I'm looking for.

It needs to operate exactly like an arcade pushbutton ie press to connect release to disconnect (or vice versa depending on which poles you use on the microswitch) but I need the added feature of having the ability to lock the switch in the pressed (open in my case) position.

Sounds like something that would be used in an airplane or boat.  If you find it I doubt it would look at home anywhere on a cab -except maybe on top or the back.

you wann lock it cause you don't want other to  press the button ?

The only thing i had before in the top of my CP is a the KEYLOCK for the AT style back then like the big cases AT/Xt.

So when its lnot lock its open and when lock its closed.
I used this for my TAB before.
