| Rotary Joystick feel? |

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I remember of the rotary joystick games (like Ikari Warrior, Guerilla Wars, etc.), the rotary stick clicked at each increment of a turn and probably had about 49 points around the diameter. Is this correct? I guess what I'm wondering is, if I take a standard joystick and hookup a mouse hack (somewhere here had cool looking directions to do this) to it to make a rotary joystick, will the feel and operation work well or will it just spin too loosely for these games? Thanks for the thoughts and opinions. |

Well, you could do what I did and buy some Happs optical rotary supers. It takes some MAME hacking from what I've been reading, but it gets rid of the "click" feel from the LS30s. |

I believe the clicky rotary sticks have 12 points around the dial. I have a Wico one around here but it is missing a tiny piece of metal that renders it useless. |
| Apollo:
Yeah I'm pretty sure it's 12 clicks. |
| KevSteele:
I can confirm it's just 12 clicks on the Happs rotary. Kevin |
