Wild cabinet on eBay

Chemixtry:
At the last Superauctions in Dallas there was a guy who brought 6-7 of those. There were working and all had games in them. None of the sold because he had a reserve of $750/game. They are from Blockbuster Video Blockparty. Blockparties were a "indoor theme park" with video games, virtual reality stuff etc. Heres a short article on them:

The shipping is as much as the cabinet itself  ::)

he pulled an auction 10 minutes before the end because it wasn't getting enough traffic..

sucked...

I hate people how have a reserve... but don't mention it...

I've bought stuff (cabs) from him at .99. I doubt it was a reserve issue, but I suppose it could have been.

I've never had a problem with him, but everyone has off days. May be that was one of his (or maybe I just catch him  on good days)

I'd have to also think shipping to CO, is going to be killer, though.

Thanks for all the replies so far. Shipping would be $160 to my door. Yeah, that's a lot, but if I decide I can handle the style (haven't made up my mind yet), it may still be cheaper than what I was going to spend building.

Well, unless you too were planning on molding some sorta fiberglass cab like this, there's no way it could possibly be cheaper.   Just counting the wood and screws, a normal MDF/particle board cabinet doesn't have but about $50 wortha material in it.  Another $20 for paint.   T-molding, marquee light, plus acrylic for monitor glass & marquee and you've got the equivelent empty shell ready for electronics and you're still under the $130.00 starting price.   Before shipping.

Not that this thing isn't sorta cool.  Donno if I'd want one for myself, but I do like it.
