how do i fix with out starting a new piece of wood? Its not off bad but an expert will notice and shot me in the head for doing this wrong. I thought cuting my hand a little higher and then taking the shaved part and clueing it to the opposite side... any ideas? (what makes this worse, i did it for 4 times - my templete was off) |

Um, I'm not following you. If you drilled your hole in the wrong place there are a few things to do. How much is it off? You can use a slightly larger drill bit if your hole can stand to be a little bigger. Or, using a plug cutter or a hole saw you can cut a round piece of wood the same size as your hole, glue it in place, and then redrill your hole in the right lcoation. Hope this helps. |

yes, that does help (my dad is the handy one) it's off maybe by 2/8 or so, not bad but not good |

I repair my wood by making a paste out of sawdust and woodglue. I just pack it on, let it dry, and sand. It's super strong and cheap as hell. Also, it's probably okay if your hole is a little too big as long as you're going to cover your panel with plexi+overlay or laminate. Just make sure the hole is cut right on the top bit and that it covers up the mistake on the bottom bit. |
