Ok, heres the specs of my cab im buildin , 27 inch tv, Ipac4 and Optipac, spinner, trackball, 4 player control panel. Computer running mame32.

What is easiest way to set up jamma in this cab, for games like nfl blitz, nba showtime, and golden tee? I know id need a Jrok to get jamma on the tv, but other than that i dont know the easiest way to set up jamma period in my cab, anyyone have any ideas?

Um, setting THAT up to play JAMMA boards too would be a waste of time and money, it would be cheaper to simply BUY a JAMMA cabinet then it would be to rig up JAMMA in there too.

Also, you are seriously going to run Mame32 on a cabinet? Dude, get a frontend.

Blitz uses 49-way joysticks, which aren't the same as 8-way joysticks.

Also, it sounds like you are going to spend a ton of money on this and then run MAME32 on a TV set, I do that in my living room on my TV sometimes, looks terrible.

On the subject of using TV and poor vid quality, I've seen threads about this several times....

Perhaps I am off base but I built my first cab (completed some 18 months ago) using an ATI All in Wonder card and 27 inch TV with using SVid.....looks great to me.

Yes, Windows is fuzzy but once you get into a game it looks just fine.

Am I missing something?

i was told u can switch to 8 way joysticks in a setting on the game, and once a game is ran on a tv it looks fine. Anyways, I still need to know how to set up jamma using this setup.

Well...first you'd need the JAMMA harness.  Hook that all up.  Here's a pinout:

Next, sell the IPAC-4 and get a J-PAC and an IPAC-2.  You'll need the J-PAC to interface with the JAMMA harness.

There's more - a lot - but these first steps would be the first things to do.  In order to get a JAMMA setup, you need the JAMMA gear.

Paige is right, you're going to do a lot more work than getting an existing pre-wired cabinet.  And you already have some of the wrong parts.
