I HATE THOSE DAMN HIGH SCORES
« on: August 13, 2004, 02:42:08 pm »
I recently picked up a very nice Space Duel cabinet.  I've been playing the HELL out of it.  There are high scores in there that persist when you shut it off...

...AND I CAN'T EVEN COME CLOSE TO THEM.  AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!  It's making me nuts.  I mean, I'm not even getting to half the totals.  Someone else's high scores are on my cab and I can't come near them.  I feel violated.    >:(

I'm sure it would be possible to get rid of the high scores.  Perhaps removing the rom chip that controls the score from the board would do the trick.   ???

Heh, seriously... wiping out the scores electronically would be the pansy way out.

I have a Space Invaders Deluxe Cocktail and the operators manual has instructions on how to SET the high score to anything you want it to AND put in the name you prefer. maybe that one was like that too?

2) 164,300
3) 134,000
