Advance mame does not recognize roms?

OK that fixed my rom problem (Thanks Thenasty)
cuurent situation
advancemame works with all roms (Well I did not really try all 3500)
but it only works in VGa mode
when I try to set up 15khz I get exiting due to sigvev error.
Any configuration files for ati rage 128 pro It's an xpert 16mg card. the monitor is a wg 25" standard res monitor circa 1994
