I'd use a JPAC, but it's serious overkill for this project. Galaxian cabinet: left, right, fire, P1 start and P2 start. Running VAntAGE. --- End quote --- i'm interested to know why you using VAntAGE instead of early version of Mame (eg .36) is it better? |

Or you could just hack a vga cable not all arcade monitors need the vid amp. And install arcadeOS and set it to acrade monitor. Could make a lean mean DOS system for that cab. |

Why VAntAGE? It's running on a 486! It works, so why not? Besides, VAntAGE is kinda close to my heart and all... There are not (many) problems once it actually gets *into* 15KHz mode, but I don't want to blow the monitor waiting for that moment. Oh, and it does need an amp, I've already tried the VGA cable hack. |

rchadd: I sent you a PM. If I can't get the signal split, perhaps I'll rig up a timer to turn on the monitor after a minute or so. Maybe I'll also see how badly the monitor screams. |
