| Oscar Degaussing Coil not working at all :( |
| (1/2) > >> |
| sfetaz:
I have done everything correctly on Oscar's site for making a degaussing coil. However it does not work. I believe it is because the magnet wire needs to be stripped so that it can make contact with the AC plug and light socket. How would I go about stripping this wire? Thanks! |
| sfetaz:
I was able to strip the wire using a soldering iron. The light now lights, but the coil itself never gets warm or hot and does not degaus my TV or computer monitor. I have even tried a 15 watt bulb. Any ideas? |

Run a -corded- electric drill near the monitor, I've heard that it will act much like a deguassing coil. Maybe though you have a problem that can't be fixed with a simple deguass? Try the drill trick though. |

There is actually no problem at this time. But when I transport my DDR Machine, sometimes on site the corner gets purple, so I am building one to use. I have heard about the drill thing but would like to do it the right way. |
