Jpac wire issues
OSCAR:
No, the monitor AC power has nothing to do with the 56-pin jamma edge connector. What I mean is that I would verify that the 56-pin edge connector in your cab is wired properly per this pinout: http://www.dameon.net/BBBB/newjam.html
Additional info on cab wiring including how your monitor is powered can be found here:

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but this is somewhat related. I have an old 4p Xmen cab I want to convert to a setup just like your controls (2p). Do you think I should just buy a new Jamma harness seeing as how the one in there now is set up for 4p? Does it matter? I'm new to the JAMMA pinout, so I'm really confused here.
Oscar (or anyone else) - To change my Xmen to a 2p setup, should I get a new harness, or just rewire the one in there. It couldn't hurt to get a new one could it? Thanks for any help.
itismejs - you can have your thread back, sorry about that man :)
SirPeale:
JAMMA pinouts are 2P by nature. Other players are added via harnesses attached to the board itself.

I see, so what you're telling me is I should actually dig around in the cab a bit before I open my big mouth?? ;) Thanks Peale, I'll have to give a look in the cab once I get a chance to move it.
SirPeale:
Well, yeah, you should definitely look @ the cab, and check out the wiring diagram that Oscar posted.
