Hello, Right now my panel is made of wood. It is the typical style with a small wooden box underneat. the top is covered with plexit, but I am not happy with the bottom. I sanded it, and used wood filler but still can see the spots where it joins, and I dont like the wood look.. (its painted black right now) What I am wondering is do they make a vinyl or plastic type of material i can cover it with? it would make it look manufactured sort of and would not show the cracks? I am sure they make something I am just not sure what or where to buy. I will go to home depot later this week and check, I guess could use wallpaper but I want it durable. let me know if you can help thanks JIM |

How about the Parts Express Black Pica Vinyl? Cut to size and wrap right around. No seams showing. |

That sounds really good have you got a link or pics???? thanks Jim |

Parts Express is at: http://www.partsexpress.com/ My modular panels are covered in it - lots of picts from the link in the signature block. However, the flash tends to emphasize a "gloss" on the vinyl that is not there with natural lighting. My cabinet is painted semi-gloss black, and the parts express textured vinyl is a very good match. There are a few pictures without the flash on the main page that give you a better idea of the look. |

Try some Sheetrock 90, same as plaster for gyprock, I used it on mine and it worked great. You can get it at any home reno store and it's cheap. |
