(1/2) > >>

yomero2k:
Hi, i have now converted several jukeboxes to use difrent software, i habe developed a interface board that can be used to keep the jukebox original controls, i will be happi to asist anyone who is trying to do a conversion, i am now manufacturing a full, profesional cabinet to work with "Jukebox Simulator or Virtual Music Jukebox" you can see some pictures of my work at http://uk.f2.pg.photos.yahoo.com/video_jukebox

Ken Layton:
Here in the USA converting a jukebox to use MP3's is illegal and not authorized by A.S.C.A.P. It is considered copyright infringement by the courts here. However, I believe it's ok in other countries.

AlexSledge:
True, but if you pick up an old Jukebox for home use, this would be a great project to do.

Also, it's only illedgal if you didn't license the MP3's, there would be nothing wrong using your own MP3's made from your own CD's (for a home project), or using music that's in the public domain. At least here in the US, at this point it time.

yomero2k:
::) hi, the unit i have built are used in mexico, and i now have a agreement with mexican RIA they charge me 2 dollars per song per year, and im allowed to distribute legal content for the converted jukeboxex  ;D

Ken Layton:
You're lucky in that respect, but here in the USA lawyers are having a field day on music copyrights.
