I got a mixed bag of "12 Volt LED CAR BULBS" from www.superbrightleds.com and I want to hook them up to my computers power supply. It was mentioned that resistors were needed and this is what I need help with. What type of resistor do I need? here are the specs for the leds: Single LED Wedge Base Bulbs Voltage: 12~14 VDC Current: 20~25 mA Size: 8mm x 24mm I have some of the 4 bulb leds aswell but I think that the specs would be similar to the single LED bulbs mentioned above. Please not that I live in Ireland and we don't have Radio Shack over here. So once I know what type of resistor I need it may be a misson to find somewhere that has them for sale. |

Generally it's true you need to use current limiting resistors with LED's, but those already have the resistors made into them for connection to a 12v supply. They were made for automotive applications, which also happens to be 12v. So you should be able to hook them right up/plug 'em in. D |
