For future reference, there is a games list available on MAME's official site.

SNK vs Capcom is not in the official build of MAME because it is still fairly new. Some other emulators have been hacked and can be used to play SNK vs Capcom, which is what the other emu forum was probably talking about.

I gurantee you that he is lying. Capcom vs snk is a naomi title.... naomi emulation isn't even included in mame yet. It's not a simple matter of hacking in a game entry, a whole naomi driver whould have to be written.
You are probably thinking of chankast, the dreamcast emu.

Actually, SNK vs Capcom is a different game then Capcom vs SNK. SNK vs Capcom was made by SNK instead of Capcom that made Capcom vs SNK (Confusing enough? ::)).

Found this thread while searching on another topic, so I don't know if you found it, but yes there is an unofficial version of mame which supports a lot of the newer games such as svc chaos (snk vs capcom), king of fighters 2003, and others. He posts regularly at the arcadeathome forum boards, but I believe that he took his compiled version of mame down. You may find someone who has it, if your still interested.
