Had an AWESOME Galaga weekend!!!
AGGIEZ:
Couple of old friends came over to the lakehouse this weekend and were blown away at my cocktail cab. They were even more stoked when they found out it had 4,000 games including Galaga. I had never really played Galaga all that much as a kid and never really appreciated how fun the game is until this weekend. We had a great time having tournaments and playing all of the different versions. I'm a new fan now!

I was on vacation last week. While there I happened upon a Galaga machine, but something was different. The screen was "waving", like a constant sine wave throughout the entire monitor. Is this some kind of hack or was the monitor about to fry?
LOL, I wasn't going to post about this, but this thread presented itself nicely :)
paigeoliver:
A waving monitor probably just needs a cap kit, or could POSSIBLY be a failing flyback.
Remember, if it is a Galaga "on location" then it has probably spent 20+ years on location.

I forgot to mention, while I was on vacation, my friend, who was watching after the cats/house played my arcade machine. (I gave him the go ahead). He said he played TMNT, MsPacman and the like for a while, but soon happened upon Bomb Jack. Within several screens he was an addict. I found this amusing because I was playing Bomb Jack like crazy the week before I left, and never told him about the game! Weird stuff :)

So it is a problem...I found it refreshingly funny to play. It was located on the boardwalk, so I doubt it was there too long, but I could be wrong.
