When you find someone to do this, make sure they post details to use as reference for similar projects. Pics of you actually using it would be great. |

Thanks everyone for your interest. I can't wait to play some games again. I will give you an idea what I'm looking to do. The controller will be in two parts. The first part will only hold the PS2 controller guts. Green computer board with all buttons wired out to barrier strip. This is the part that I need help with. The second part would be the control panel. This panel would be as flat as possible in order to mount on my wheelchair arm rests. I will be using a joystick, toggle switches, and a couple of buttons for all of the right hand actions. I cannot feel when I am pressing a button so a joystick seem to make more sense. Each direction will be a different button. Then I never have to take my hand off. I want to use toggle switches for buttons that need to be held constantly. Like the accelerator in a racing game. I even have a small button I want to use in my mouth with my tongue. I have a couple of ultimate joysticks and arcade buttons already. I believe they have .187 Mail connectors on the bottom. All buttons and switches that do not have .187 Mail connectors will have them attached with a short lead. This makes the controller adaptable for different game setups. I hope I covered all. Please let me know what you think. Sorry for the typos. I use a voice-activated program. |

While I can't be of much help (I don't know how to do what you're asking), I do want to offer you my condolences. My brother raced in motocross for several years but thankful he never suffered any major injuries. I wish you and your family the best. Regarding SNAAAKE he did a control panel overlay for me and it came out very nice. While I can't attest to his craftsmenship of PSX controllers, he is a good guy to deal with. |

Bill, here's another one you might try: http://dave.bit2000.com/akipics/sspropsx_lg.jpg http://dave.bit2000.com/ He's built a prototype psx controller, although he says he is not producing them right now, most people IMHO into this hobby are pretty cool, I bet if you contacted Dave, you could work something out with him. luck, |
