Game Launch in XP??

Hey.
I tired it...when i click to run a game it goes to the windows desktop sits there..then finally goes into the game? how can i fix that.....i tried start /wait mame.exe on and off..it did not help either way.

So, it *did* launch the game?  If so,  I'm not understanding what the problem is.  Or are you saying that it should not be showing the Windows desktop while its launching?

Well what it did was launch it in the background almost or something...like it launchs it..goes out to desktop and sits there..in my taskbar i see GL and Mame.
