Ok, just checked for myself.  ROM is not ok according to -verifyroms.  So I run clrmame, it renamed some of the files inside the zip.  Then I re-checked it using -verifyroms but it is still not ok.

So I re-ran clrmame and tried to rebuild the rom.  It ran the rebuild and says its ok, but again when I try the -verifyroms, it says it is not ok.

This is like the second time I have ever messed with clrmame, so I am definitely open for ideas on what I am doing wrong.  I read the tutorial and followed it exactly, and it seems like its working, but MAME doesn't like the rom it is giving me.

are you sure you are telling clrmame to use the same exact MAME.exe version as the one your using in the command line ?

Try running MAME galaga

it should give you the exact error whats wrong.

That was my thought too!  I figured somehow MAME and CLRMAME weren't on the same page, so I double checked that CLRMAME is indeed pointing to the right MAME exe, and it is.  Weird huh.

Yeah when I run galaga it tells me exactly whats wrong, it's missing a bunch of bins, etc.  But CLRMAME says the file is ok.  Once the next version of MAME comes out I will re download CLRMAME and try again, maybe I got a corrupt download of it or something weird.

SirPeale:

I doubt that.  If you got a corrupt build of ClrMAME it likely would not run @ all.  I'm guessing you have the latest version?

Can you post the exact error you're getting, as well as the contents of the 'galaga.zip' set?

Oh, and are your sets split, merged or non-merged?
