Question: Mounting Hard Drive and Power Supply

Pages: (1/2) > >>

wakerlet:

All,

I want to mount my Motherboard, power supply, hard drive in my cabinet with out the case.  What is the best way to attach the hard drive and power supply to the side or bottom of the cabinet?

Thanks,
Todd

SirPeale:

Bend some sheet metal to make a drive cage.

For the PS, angle brackets.

MnMCaputo:

try cutting out a harddrive cage from an old AT case, as for the power supply, just get a small piece of plywood, mount the power supply to that, then mount the piece of plywood to your cab

Goz:

I've been able to use 3.5" to 5" drive mounting kits ($5 at Fry's, etc) to mount in a cab. I'm referring to the solid kit not the one that resembles 2 spaced drive rails.

lokki:

Hi,
I used a very low tech (inexpensive way) to mount the HD on my cab.

Used Plumber's tape... Strapping tape (metal or plastic)
(around $2.00)
