| Tiger-Heli:
Here's an example of black buttons on a purple layout: http://www.hanaho.com/products/HotRodJoystick/overview.html I used multiple color buttons, because it makes it easier to say "Press the yellow button for fire", etc. One thing I might suggest (at least I am doing this and think it's a good idea): Coin Buttons - Green - For "Go" and also the color of money (at least in the US. Pause Button - Orange or Yellow - General caution or warning color. Exit Buttton - Red - For "Stop". If you did this on your panel, then all the player buttons being black would stand out instead of blending in. |

One thing you could try, and it is what I'll be doing, is alternating colors for the 6 or 7 action buttons. I'm using the 6 button SF layout and am using black and blue buttons in the following way: Bk Bl Bk Bl Bk Bl Just a thought... |
