CP layout & button color choice help...
(1/5) > >>
photorock:
Hey everyone, I've been reading everything here and checking out all the samples and I am now a little confused and need any and all help available. I've got my CP layed out and all my controls decided on, except for the button colors. I like the layout and I think it will be comfortable.

I want to go with a black and purple theme but I'm wondering if it's too much purple. I think the artwork will look good when completed.

I Need help becouse I want to order my Happs buttons and Joystick on Friday. I have everything else except the buttons and joysticks and I want to complete my Cp for next weekend.

Any suggestions or coments on the color choice and the layout would be greatly appreciated. I am going to start my CP this week.
EndTwist:
Go with black buttons, makes a nice contrast from the purple. Besides, colors other than black, red, or white look strange on anything other than a very multi-colored cp (trust me!)

If you're looking for a vibrant complimentary color to purple consider yellow buttons.  ;)

Don't know if your purple cab is like this but it might give you an idea.

Otherwise I'd think that Blue and Red would be good.

Ok I did this a lot when building my panel... messed around with a photo in Photoshop to see which colors I wanted where...

So I upped the purple of the panel and changed one set of buttons so you could get the effect.

How's this below?

Still may not be what you're going for but may help you visualize.  ;)

I think I can work black buttons into the color scheme but I'm wondering if its too much black? Although black does work with my artwork better than purple. Yellow looks good too but only for a few buttons. Although I don't want Player1 and 2 to be multicolored.

I'm not building a Cabnet, but a CP that will be attacched to my computer desk. It will fold out of the way (swing down) when not used. I'm making it out of 3/4 Ply with artwork sandwiched between ply and plexy glass.
