Mouse support in MAME .61
« on: August 09, 2002, 12:59:17 am »
Probably a very basic stupid question, but here goes.  How do I get my mouse to work in MAME?  I tried to play Shuuz for example, and while it is loading, i can move the mouse cursor no problem during the black "load" screen, but after the game begins, for some reason the mouse doesnt work.  I hit TAB and go into input and the x and y axis are set to using the arrow keys, and I have no idea how to tell it to use the mouse??  I just dont get it.  Thanks for any help in advance!

Sorry to be a pain, but can you tell me which file that is, and possibly post an example of your for me?  I am still pretty new.  Thanks.

in a text file called mame.ini in the mame directory

note... if you don't have one... run this "mame -createconfig".... I think it's automatic now though

Next. edit your mame.ini ("notepad mame.ini")

Next.. fine the location that says "mouse 0" and change it to say "mouse 1"

thats it

Ok great did that.  Will this be the same even if I use Arcade@Home as a frontend, or do I have to edit somewhere in it?
