I am restoring an old Donkey Kong. Does antone know what kind (gloss, semi-gloss, spray, etc...)of paint and color to get. Or is it best to just bring in a chip to match at the paint shop?
thanks, Patrick

Don't even think about spray paint. It will turn out like crap. Unless you have a professional spray gun of some sort.

Take a paint chip to color match, and buy some good primer.

I repainted my Q*Bert using a FOAM roller with lots of fine sanding between coats. It turned out very sweet. You could not tell that it is not laminate.

Take your time and do it right. Sand down to the wood, primer it, sand, paint, sand, paint, sand, and paint.

Peace,
Craig
