Software choice to design?

Yes, yes it is. I had the exact same thought when I was planning and cutting mine. The machine looks bigger though when the entire thing is put together.

I used Visio personally, but if I hadn't, there is a free online control panel design thingy (Flash, java, web enabled, something) online that I thought was VERY well done, and would recommend it..... if I knew where it was or what it was called..

3d studio max? o.o  um other than that all the other autocad type proggys are like $300
