Lighting standard buttons and trackballs?

Is it possible to light Happ microswitches and Ultimark trackballs from behind with LEDs? I am planning on buying blue buttons and a white trackball and lighting them from behind with some super bright blue LEDs I have. Thanks! :)

That's how it's generally done. Some have installed a CP length neon tube in the CP but LED's would be a better if slightly more labour intensive option.

I thought I had seen special buttons with LEDs already installed. I was wondering if they were constructed differently. Thanks for the help! :)

HAPP does indead sell pushbuttons with illumination already intact. The buttons are more of a casino type then arcade quality. I have 4 installed for the 4 credit buttons on my control panel. While a little bit smaller they will fit into the same drill size hole as a normal button. I really wouldn't use them for any of the "action" buttons though

You can light an ultimarc trackball but I believe you need to replace the standard white ball with a translucent one.  The standard white ball is opaque.
