Bear Hugger:

Is there a way in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to allow for 4 players if theres only 2 coin doors? Normally it counts each coin for each door individually but is there a way to make it collective?

Floyd10:

Well the closest That I can think of is to re-assign the coin doors, so that it has 2 ppl in it. than you just dont press the 1 up for the other

TalkingOctopus:

This is what I did.  In mame, I remapped the key for coin slot #2 so it credits p2, p3, p4.  It works for ninja turtles as long as you don't press start for the absent players.  It works for most other 4 player games as well EXCEPT Xmen.  In Xmen, your players start automatically, so if you have only  3 people there will still be 4 on playing, only one will not be moving.  You can get around this problem by reassigning the credits.

Lilwolf:

Or keep the coins the same... then add 4 buttons above them as an 'alternate coin'.

keep these all using a common ground wire...  And add a switch to that ground wire to break it.  So that all 4 can be disabled when you want to force coin door.

Howard_Casto:

I hate to be a jerk but.... here's an idea, why not put in a 4 player coin door like you should have in your cabinet?  They are on ebay all the time.  Some cabs even have two, 2-player coin doors.  (Tmnt for example)

yes, there are work-arounds, but it seems a waste to have a 4 player setup and not have the proper controls to play the games without jimmy-rigging.
