Translucent Red? Am I colorblind?

Pages: << < (2/3) > >>

Zakk:

For me blue looked aqua-green when lit, until I started using the superbright blue LED's.  Then DAMN was it blue. I assume the same for the red, walls is probably right.

REBIRTH:

My 3" red translucent looks very orange when unlit, but when lit looks fire engine red which is exactly the color I would want (matches the red buttons).  I am lighting it with 4 superbrite LED's.

Below is a picture of the one panel of mine which contains this ball (lit up)....

whammoed:

Hmmm, I should try some led's i suppose.  Where do I get em?  What about a socket, probably won't work in my bayonet socket, eh?

REBIRTH:

Socket?  What?  As for the LED's, they are awesome - but beofre I bought them just shining a strong flashlight under there produced a good red color.  If you can shine a strong light through there and it is still orange then i would complain to Happs.  it is hard to get a good beam of light in there though, so make sure you are able to do when testing it.

I got my LED's from Glowire  http://www.glowire.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=G&Product_Code=4CLWCM&Category_Code=CM  They connect right to a spare power plug in your PC.

Witchboard:

I noticed that Bob Roberts has both a "Red" and "Cherry" colored trackballs.  I was wondering myself which would look better.  I'm thinking the "Cherry" may end up looking pink when lit.
