holy crap, are you guys just not reading any of the software forum stuff?  i have mame32 only to run in the background...and have run mamewah as a frontend ever since i built my first cab....never had a problem.  and theres no command line code to learn or anything like that.  its all menu driven, and if you cant find something, spend a little time with and youll find what you are looking for.  just install mame32, and then point the directories to your roms folder...close mame32.  open mamewah, set exe to mame32.exe and fill in all the other stuff for where to look for roms, screenshots, etc. and you got it.  i dont understand why people use all this DOS crap (yes i know some command line, so im not just blowing steam here) when there is a simple windows version of this app.  just run mamewah, (the best frontend on any cab in my opinion) and set it up for mame32 and you dont have to learn another thing.

Scoobie:

I might try what you're saying, although you are the first person I've seen using mame32 with a different fe.

I now have command line mame working and some games launch in 3D Arcade.  This fe is the best I've seen visually...now if I can only grasp how to configure it properly.  If not, I guess I'll be trying mamewah like everyone else...

Aceldamor:

Well You could try Easyemu that has tons of info on how to use command line mame..

One thing to modify what hulkster said....if you use Dave Butler's Mamewah setup program, it won't let you select mame32 as an executable...

*edit for me being a url moron

Scoobie:

Is there a tutorial on setting up Mamewah (a link would be great)?
