Anyway I have been following Mame on WindowsCE OS, that's the operating system than the Palm Size PC(cassiopeia e-100, e105, e110) and PocketPC's(cassiopeia e125, e200, Ipaq, HP's, Audiobox, Genio etc). I'm very familiar with the way it behave and the playability. I have been also thinking of making a micro cab using my PocketPC but I dont want to mess up my Pocket PC.
If you want to play Mame on your casio e-100 don't expect a lot of sound on it. cassiopeia e-100 has a MIPS processor of 133mhz (if I'm not mistaken it might be less than that) and have difficulties emulating games and creating sounds at the same time. So the games run faster when you disable the sound. Few games have been tested to run fairly well on this device and if you want to see it run a bit faster I recommend Darren's port of the MameCE which is located on this link.

Now if you are planning to run Mame on PocketPC 2000 especially casio e125 most game runs pretty playable no matter which version of MameCE you use. If you want the port that runs most playable game even with sound enable you might want to use Mameboy
