My main PC is an Athlon 1.2, my daughter's is an Athlon 1.33, my wife's is a Celeron 300, but my MAME cabinet is an Athlon XP 2000+.... (Yeah, it's time for a round of upgrades...) |

My Athlon Xp 1500+ couldn't run it at full speed. So you're going to need something beefier than that motherboard can even handle. |

id say 2ghz to run it comfortably, probably 1.6-1.8 can do it with a little frame loss |

Just ordered a case with power supply, and hard drive which is all I needed to have a running P3 866 w/ a ton of ram, and a radeon 8500, ethernet card, dvd drive, soundblaster live. (Had everything else downstairs extra) So, a year or so after I BUILD this damn thing, I can upgrade the mobo, cpu, and ram and still have all the other components at that point. I'll just play what I can until then :) |

Any computer can type a paper, but not just any can emulate Cruisin' USA!!! --- End quote --- Couldn't agree more... Mame: P4 2.8GHz, 512 RAM Personal: AMD 2000+, 512 RAM Wife: P2-550, 256 RAM Kid: P3-500, 128 RAM Microsoft Word may be a resource hog but nothing compares to games like Cruisin' USA. Bumble |
