On powering up, you have to hit a key to enter your BIOS setup. Not sure what it is on a Dell, but try one of these: [F1] [F2] [ESC] [TAB] There also may be a message on boot stating what key to hit. |

On two of them I press the DEL key when starting up to access the BIOS. Typically I just press DEL repeatedly until the BIOS screens come up. DEL is very frequently used on non-Dells. On the other Dell, I pressed CTRL-ALT-ENTER to access BIOS. |

Try <F2> on a Dell, that usually works. You may find an option in the Dell BIOS for "Fast Boot" or something similar. This may disable the Dell splash screen and the memory count! |
