Well don't use MAME32, or DOS MAME. Any of the Windows commandline variants should be fine - try the standard build from mame.net if you have any doubts...

Hi ,
OK I am getting closer ( I guess)- I changed the List Generation Method and refreshed and I now have my list of games on the screen, I then pressed 1 to start a game ( a game that I know works ) and it said" wait-game loading" and just stopped right there, I actually had to reboot the PC to get out of Mamewah! I tried this 3 times all with the same result.???????
Also, I have my Artwork Path 1 set to c:\mame\snap - where my png images are and I have no screenshots showing up either.
Any more clues out there??
Cheers
Wotto

1) Sounds like you are using DOS MAME? Turn 'Show DOS Box' (In Emulator Settings > Execution Settings) to 'Yes' to see...
2) Did you install MAMEWAH or just extract it / copy it from another PC? Usually this problem is due to PaintX.dll not being registered....

1) Thanks- will try that tonight, will that change fix it if I am using DOS?
2) No - I installed it properly- whats next?
Thanks again

1) Yes. If that is the case (and it works) then I'd suggest you get the Windows commandline version from www.mame.net
2) Are you using a non-standard layout? Check that the Artwork # is correct for the path that you have entered.
